2.1.4 Parity Patch - iOS, Apple Arcade & Android

Monarchs,

New patches are now available for iOS and Android. Please see the notes below:

iOS

  • We took the knights through rigorous training to fix some errant behavior, as reported to us by our players. The training regimen included a refreshment of protocols regarding protecting their assigned archers, not abandoning a fight just because they take a hit or two, attacking portals and cave spawners with confidence, and retreating after the cave portal has been temporarily destroyed.

  • Additionally, archers have also received improved confidence training, and will no longer hold fire in silly situations.

  • The bomb is now the top priority of your workers. Workers pushing the bomb now won’t abandon it so easily in pursuit of other jobs. Additionally, when called to the boat by the wharf bell, the workers that were originally pushing the bomb won’t block other workers from taking over their bomb duties.

  • After your feedback, we’ve decided to revert one of the QoL changes from patch 2.0: Player 2 dropping the coins of their coin bag on the ground when they disconnect. The coins will now stay in Player 2’s coin bag and become available when Player 2 reconnects, the same way it worked before the patch. However, gems and quest items will continue to automatically transport to Player 1’s coin bag, to avoid soft lock scenarios.

  • Archers and Workers now drop their coins to the player correctly, even when they are sitting in a tower high above ground.

  • The audio in the splash screens will now play correctly when you start a new campaign or Challenge Island in an ongoing session.

  • Players can once again see color changes while randomizing the Monarch’s appearance in the loading screen.

  • Made sure art assets fit the screen properly in all available zoom levels.

  • Improved the visibility of quest items that have been dropped on the ground.

  • Resolved a caching issue which could cause unintentional PlayFab account sharing.

  • Call of Olympus: Fixed a rare issue that could trigger an infinite loading screen when the player attempts to return to the Oracle island. This will prevent the problem from happening again in the future, but not fix already affected save files. Please reach out to our Support desk if you believe your save file is affected by this issue.

  • Norse Lands: Archers in towers will no longer call dibs on shields in the Shield Shop, making them available for other units to pick up.

  • Norse Lands: Workers will now seek safety behind the Kingdom walls a bit faster.

  • Norse Lands: Improved visual effects on fire effects related to the Fire Tower.

  • Fixed minor visual, audio and functional issues.

Apple Arcade

  • Call of Olympus: Fixed an issue that prevented the achievement Mediterranean Vacation from unlocking at the right time. Unfortunately, the achievement can not be unlocked retroactively on save files that were encountering this issue. To get it, the requirements must be met again in a fresh campaign.

The training regimen included a refreshment of protocols regarding protecting their assigned archers, not abandoning a fight just because they take a hit or two, attacking portals and cave spawners with confidence, and retreating after the cave portal has been temporarily destroyed.

  • Archers following a Squire or Knight should no longer be left outside the safety of the Kingdom walls at night. Additionally, archers have also received improved confidence training, and will no longer hold fire in silly situations.

  • Fixed an issue where the boar re-spawning in wintertime would have the game consider the island as incomplete. If you give any lingering threats a good whack in this patch, it should do the trick and the island status will stay as "completed".

  • Fixed several issues that could cause crashes to occur in specific gameplay scenarios.

  • Archers and Workers now drop their coins to the player correctly, even when they are sitting in a tower high above ground.

  • Farmers who have boarded a boat will no longer occupy farmlands.
